On any given week, Kavita Butler was busy flying around the world and looking after her two sons. Kavita is set to add flexipreneur to her portfolio with the launch of her new business, Mini First Aid Bournemouth.

Kavita embodies the term ‘flexipreneur’; someone who is running a business around other professional and family commitments.

Due to 24 years working for a major international airline, with 14 of those years as flight service manager, Kavita has dealt with a multitude of first aid and medical situations including the administration of auto injectors, arranging medical care for a customer suffering a stroke and even a snake bite!

A new challenge . . .

Kavita had been looking for a fresh professional challenge which at the same time, fitted around busy family life. Kavita is passionate about teaching first aid AND about running her own business. She says:

“Being part of a recognised brand really appealed to me and I knew that I could run my business at a pace that suited me. I am still flying, being a mother, a wife AND running my own business at the same time. I am running my own business not only for personal achievement, but for the satisfaction that another carer or child leaves my class with an essential life skill.”

Mini First Aid Bournemouth offers 2 hour baby & toddler first aid classes for small groups of parents and carers. Classes are friendly but informative and cover choking, basic life support, dealing with burns, breaks and bumps, febrile seizures & meningitis awareness. A class costs £25 per person.
